beaten Tyson in the old school NES version of Punch-Out ?? He's kick'n my azz here

 

yeah, just barrage him with punches, and get into a rhythm. he doesn't have a pattern so its hard as hell.

 

What the hell are you talking about, he just blocks or knocks my azz out with one punch.

 

IIRC, there's a pattern. Good luck trying to figure it out though.

I remember reading how to beat him in a magazine.

 

wasn't it like a 3 side step and then duck. you also had to watch for something he did. b/c when he got tired he changed his pattern. been a very long time since i did it.

 

If I recall....
there's a quick flash followed by big uppercuts in a series of 3... ish... You only get one counterpunch, IRRC it's to the body.... I think that one counterpunch gives you a star...
after he does his piston punches (similar to piston honda loser) you can nail him with the star... I think... it's been, oh, 12 years at least.

 

I mastered that game, but that was awhile back. I still remeber the cheat code to fight Tyson; the code is 007373 5963. Weird, I haven't seen an old version nes in years, but for some reason, I can't forget this code.

 

Okay Steven made me play this game all day long. I haven't beat him yet. Like I said, get a rhythm to counter him and barrage him in the rhythm. Worked like a charm...yeah until I got KO'ed by his 4 punch attack.

Yeah he will flash before a big *** punch. One thing I noticed is his WINK. WATCH the wink. Left wink means left punch, right means right.

No set order but does seem to have a few patterns. Like Round 2 jabs and such. Watch out for the super uppercuts tho.
