Hai im new and got a few questions.

Okay, so I'm coming from Boston and going to Oahu (I'm in the Army and stationed in this cold hell hole) and I have had a problem for about a week but I'm shipping my car to Hawaii and i don't have time or tools to fix/play with the problem. I have an 06 STI with 52000 miles on it and I have my Brake + Battery + Rear Diff temp lights come on and off sometimes they even flicker. Also if i have my daytime running lights on they flicker too. Now I've looked for awhile and some people have said this is the Alternator going bad on the car, some have said its just a bad connection and some have said just the wires are fried. I just wants your opinions/advice on the problem and maybe a cost to fix it? My car is also in need of a tune as well i see that there is a thing in May that i might try to get in on. And lastly i want to know if you guys know of a good place that can do a Wet sand/clay bar treatment and touch up some paint and get the dings out. I want my car looking good. I would do it myself but i don't know how to do any of that kind of work.

Kind of long winded today thanks for the read and feedback maybe.

you could of damaged your rear diff sensor playing in the snow or rally cross? (i dont know if you do these but maybe) and the battery light. could it be a alternator going bad since its working extra hard in that cold weather?

FIRST. Correct any problems you have caused!!!
(aftermarket amp, or ANY wiring you have done?)

check/clean battery terminals.

check alt....see if you have 13.5 VOLTS + coming out of it while running.

the chances of a subaru having a problem like this "naturally" is slim.

The only thing i have done to my car is i got a head unit put in and speakers by Best Buy. I also just bought a new battery because i thought that could have been the problem. And i cant check anything right now because my car is on its way to Hawaii and i wont have it back till April 12th.

I had a problem similar to this with my 08 sti. The positive battery terminal was corroded and it would make mast of the warning lights flicker or temporarily come on. I would check your battery first.
