Group N Trans question...

So as some of you may or may not have known, my foots fractured and is finally out of the damn moon boot, might need surgery but what ever. Now since i have had this boot on, i have accomplished alot on my lego. Now with all the other things i have done to the subie, i added a GroupN transmount. Now heres the question for the people that have GroupN mounts. Did you have a noticeable transmission area noise? Did you all of a sudden have a wine?

Like a whine you get from going reverse. Unless you rocking straight cut or tranny is empty I am pretty sure you shouldn't hear a whine.

The mount itself shouldn't cause a whine, but if your trans already whines, as many of them do, it will be much more noticeable with the group N.

+1

If the rest of the car is close to OEM and has the sound deadening materials, you most likely won't notice too much new noise.

It's oem for the most part but I assume 300k+ miles is taking its toll maybe some subie gear oil might fix that?

Extra sour uncle scottys cocktail. I ran usc for years and loved it. Switched to strait valvoline for a cheap temporary solution while my other trans gets fixed and it's pretty chappy. Way harder to downshift into first among other things.

Well shaggadelic has actual extra s. but if your making the cocktail the Napa Redline behind Best buy aiea has almost all the oils. If you come up short I go to oreilly and look. The redline shock proof was behind the counter and syncromesh was on the floor. I tried both and although currently using the cocktail I like the Extra-S much more
