Is it free money?

 

The only thing that was not free was the application fee... $79.00, and you will get it back on your taxes...but other than that.. According to them yes it is..it takes about 15 minutes to get approved by them...they check their schedule by type,make and model, etc....basic req. for example they ask me if I was willing to participate in any car show, because you must attend 2 car shows a year and put decals on the car etc...Like I said, Im waiting for my contract to sign of on it,,,and they said I would be receiving decals,, and a 1st check of $3,000. Then I must send them pics of the car and thats where it all begins..you can get up to $50,000....Ill keep you posted, everything should come in by next week... HOPEFULLY

Be sure to find out how they're going to treat that money they are giving you. You don't want a surprise next year, and find out you'll have to report all that money they 'gave' you as income. That would suck majorly.

Sorry, it's the accountant in me. Always gotta think about that kind of stuff.

don't get me wrong dude that sounds awesome but to me seems to good to be true... if you know what I mean.

From what you just posted all you have to do is pay $80 for the application and put their stickers on your car and take some pictures and enter at least 2 car shows just to get a minimum of $3K?

It just seems like you're doing "SO LITTLE" just to get so much money.

Also as stacey stated make sure that you find out how the money will be reported...etc. since you don't want to get "****ED" in the end!

UPDATE:

Heres the deal... I received a call today from sport compact pro...for mailing verification...and I started to get more info... and this is what I was told today...ok Ive been approved for $12Gs/55% of what ever total of mods I do to the car for 1 year and must attend atleast 2 car shows/yr ...but for example.... If I start ordering parts... power upgrades,interior,exterior,suspension,,etc and i have a total of $10,000 they would only pay 55% of it and I pay the other half...so thats $5gs they would pay and I would still have 7 gs remaining available from them to sponsor me...but with the same concept 50/50...for the first year....then I can get a full sponsorship 100% to $50,000..... if they liked the car and if you have done a great job on it..Hope that would help a little....thanks...
