Got some BS in the mail today...

Apparently, some idiot crashed a Mitsubishi Eclipse rental car from Budget on Roundtop Dr. back in '02 and damaged somebody's wall. The driver and passengers fled the scene, leaving the car in the wall.

The car was somehow traced back to me, but at an address I've never heard of. I apparently live on Lemon Rd. (wherever that is). Thing is, back in 2002, I lived in Ewa Beach and have never rented a car in my life. I would have been 20 years old back then and probably wouldn't even be allowed to rent a car. Expenses were to the tune of $5,500.

I'm about to go find out who to straighten this out with and hopefully figure out who in the hell gave the police and insurance companies my name.

I am also curious as to why it took 2 years for this mail to get to me.

Perhaps it's someone with the same name as you? It happened to my dad once. FBI called him up asking his whereabouts on such and such date. Apparently someone with the same name as him was doing illegal activities in Vegas.

Happened to my wife also.. Shell was calling our house saying she needed to pay them some money or they were taking her to court. The lady had the same name and they just looked in the phone book and started calling us I told them they had the wrong person and if they called again I was going to take them to court for harassment they never called back.

dude your fine man. if your only 222/23 now you couldn't even rent a car now let alone a few years ago. i know b/c i called every rental place and none of them rent to ppl under 25. i guess it's an insurance thing. good luck and LMK if you need someone to crack some heads. L8R

^^^You can rent cars before you're 25. Most places make you pay an extra fee. I used to rent cars from Budget for $20 a day here in HI when my old focus would break down...hey it's a ford.
