Goodbye ej205 nice knowing you...

Long story short, had some high exhaust temps coming up H3 last week Monday and did my best to limp up the hill, got down the hill and could tell I had dropped a cylinder somehow at first I figured my coil pack clip just came off again, but that wasn't the case. Compression test showed:

125psi - 2 90psi - 1
135psi - 4 0psi - 3

It lasted 120k, couldn't ask for more. 60k stock, 25k with a vf39 and sti topmount, 20k with a 16g and 15k with a 20g, stout motor! Parting out most motor bits, so look for that in the classifieds, obviously the block and heads will be pending until they can be inspected for damage. However, the wagon is not dead! but it will be very stockish afterward. I will take some pics of what goes in!

Two threads huh? Clutch going and then you blow the motor? Sucks man...at least 2.5l blocks are cheap nowadays

Well comparatively speaking of course.

Clutch didn't go lol, I'm going to have the motor out and its a prefect time to do the clutch also, was just asking for opinions stock vs aftermarket clutches.

120k miles and 60k of those with aftermarket abuse, my compression has been slowly going downhill for a while now as well as oil burning, pretty sure my oil rings were well worn about 20k ago.

If you go the STi route, don't use your WRX heads. Not worth it.
