Question Good System for STI?

Hey Im looking for a bad *** system for my 04 Sti....any thoughts as far as set up (Subs, Box, and Amps)? I'm getting the Pinoeer in-dash navagation. Also what can I do for there to be no rattling on the outside? Yes I know Dynomat, but I have had dynotmat before on other cars, and it pretty much did nothing. Thanks guys!

It is easy to get loud, but not easy to make it sounds good.
You want a good deep sound, you will need a good installation ( vibration, boxes ect.. )

but don't ask how, search around forums, I don't even have any speakers in my car xD

1st thing youre gonna have to do is lose the spoiler. that thing rattles like a ****. and other then dynamat or the like not much else might have to put multiple layers to soak up the sound

alpine the only in dash navigation i would go with then you could go with some boston pro or focal polyglasses you really only need them in the front then a jl w6 in the back would give you that bass you want. and dont worry the speakers can keep up with anything and as far as amps go jl are good 500/1 for the sub and 400/4 for the inter.good luck

one thing i did to get bass into the cab was remove the rear deck...with the deck on it doesnt allow the air from the trunk into the cab of the car. i dont know about the 04's but my 05 STi didnt have the fold down in the middle of the rear seat

i had one 12' T1 with a old school punch 200 and it pounded pretty good...old school rockford and soundstream reference is the best imo

My opinion & My Setup:
Pioneer in dash.... Just liked the quality had a alpine but it was junk.

Type R f&r doors

12" Type R sub custom box (able to remove for spare tire didn't want to lose the spare also for track days but don't do that anymore)

4x100 AMP for highs (alpine stackable)
1000x1 AMP for sub (alpine stackable)

0 gauge wire to split 4 gauge also you'll need a yellow top or cap will dim lights.

The sound is good enough for me can't even turn it all the way up without going deaf. Outside is loud enough for a whole block, but you will have issues with rattling. That is a given and putting dynomat compromises weight also more money on gas. Up to you food for thought

i would say go with the pioneer because thats what i got, and to go with competition type subs i got a 12inch dd that i am running about 2000w rms and that shakes my front grill and windsheild. as far as doors go i would say some mbquartz seperates in front and rear would be bomb. just make sure you are matching ohms.
