on a side note my car got hit today and has a few deep scratches down to metal. furthermore i have to put my car on a ship on wednesday of next week for a one month journey to california. will i have any problems with rust in that short amount of time? anybody know where i can get a good and fast paint job and some paintless ding repair while im at it?

you could use some touch up paint... just to cover the bare metal... it will prevent to rust...

 

1 month to cali?? Aw MAN!!! I can wait that long for my car to get there! THAT BLOWS!!

 

Yikes... sorry to hear that... idiots can't drive nowadays. Better use the touch up paint... salt water = baaaaaaaaad

 

i dont think it will be too bad, it may rust but its only gonna be surface rust, when u get it fixed it will sand right off. if i were worried about it so much, i would tape it then use adhesive remover laters... i also wouldnt fix it now because the shippers might do something stupid, scratch or whatevers.. id fix it after.. jus my .02
