Gauging tuning interest

Sonics is considering a road tuning service (and possible dyno tuning).
Right now, they’re considering a total package deal in which your car is checked over before the tune to ensure reliability and safety.
The tunes would be open source for now until they acquire the cobb software, but most engine managements can be tuned (AEM, Hydra, etc..).
Some of the benefits/services would include:

-Local tuning
-Check your car mechanically for leaks and issues
-Tune up if needed
-Boost leak test
-Upgraded turbos receive compression test

How does road tuning work here in hawaii? Since you'll be going, say 80mph at the top of 3rd gear. I always wondered IF you can get pulled over during the process, and how you would talk your way out of a ticket. Almost every perfect straight road on this island has a cop at the end of it. Just me thinking out loud.

^ +1 Oh yeah and btw, how much?

Prices would be great...with and without the mechanical checks and tune prices on different types of EM's.
If the tuner can post on here so we can pick his brain about parts that would be great.

Has this guy done subys before if so any results we can look at?

vendor status?

or

IBTL

if youre more comfortable dyno tuning, that can be arranged...sonics has a dyno but its not an awd dyno, so it would have to be done at RADS.

REID? FTW!

is he going to keep teaching or is this tuning thing full time?

BTW Reid is the only person on island that i would let tune my car.

So does that mean is going to start posting on i-club again?

Is he working off his own LLC and working out of Sonic's like Big Al from ICS or under Sonic's LLC?

ok, lets keep this on topic. no, reid is not quitting his day job to tune. when/if this happens, he will tune on the weekends. im not too sure if hes going to be posting on iclub again, sorry. if he tunes, he will definately give people advice on their setups. we are getting together this weekend to work out the details and i am inquiring about a vendor account for sonics. thanks.
