gauging interest- volunteer- meals on wheels - christmas day?

just wondering.

i was truly blessed on thanksgiving, dropping off food to all those people.
made me realize how fortunate i really am. plus made me rearrange my perspective on what the holidays are all about.

if anyone is interested LMK.
if the response if good i will make it an i-club sponsored event.

i know this may be too much for some of you guys since we did 2 community oriented charity type events this year... but this is something that i have built a burden for. and i'll do it regardless of our participation.(my wife and family will understand)
i will take what few we have and make a day of it.
so mahalo in advance.

Here's what is involved...

1. They give us a list and the food.
2. We go to each place on the list and deliver the food and say "Happy Holidays"
3. We leave feeling good

...normally the places are in one neighborhood or general area. No driving the island.

I'll do it...how long will it take. This is on Xmas day...right? If so, I can do it for a bit...unless it is all day. My mother is going to be out here and expected to hit the beach and cook dinner at home. My mom and wife wouldn't mind doing something like this...would be really cool and very different. Let me know. L8R.

Well, turkey day took about 3 hours but Greg, another guy and I were ONLY in KPT...so we didn't have to drive a lot.

Average is about 3-5 hours depending on your route and if you have 1-2 friends with you to help navigate and drop off.

Gregg...did you already talk to them?

I'm calling Meals on Wheels tomorrow and we can just combine Jaycees and I-Club into one day...I think I can get Kalihi again unless you want something else. You should still be the chair since you're a member of both

Let me know!
