Gauge Pod

All,

What is a recommend type of gauge pod for the 04 STi? Throw me some suggestions. I know that Subaru can order me the one they have for like $600 or so but I'm wondering if there are others out there that are better. Let me know...thanks.

just remebered about this one. It can fit 52 or 60mm gauges.

there's the one like kawshon posted, that is one of the nicer ones, imo. then there are a few variations of that one.

Don't Waste your money on the factory subaru gauges!
If you want the small factory gauge pod, you can buy a 52mm gauge faceplate that can be fitted to the pod with some dremelling, or I think you may be able to buy it fitted still, don't know.

it is small in conspicuous and easy to see right in front of your face.

Defi Pod with Omori Gauges (night view)

They are 60mm gauges with red backlight that matches the STi gauge panel at night. From left to right: Boost, EGT, Oil Pressure. Units are imperial.
Some people don't like the size of the Defi pod, but in the STi it compliments the monster hood scoop.

I wouldn't put the 'primary' gauges in the gauge bezel. The reason being is that they aren't that easy to see when you are driving like you should be (eyes on the road).

BUT, of course, most people don't drive that hard anyway, or don't race in any events (autoX, drag, open track).

Gauge types

So...in your opinion, what are the top 3 type of gauges to get. Someone said about Boost gauge is one but the main other two gauges. With each gauge running around $150-200 / gauge that will be about $600 for the complete pod. Right? Thanks
