Gas
Gas
Hey there! Just curious as to which gas co. you go with? In NE there are some gas co. that have terrible/watered down gas which caused a bunch of people to knock. Car is tuned at 91 so any premium that I use will work. Thanks a lot and look forward to meeting the crew.
Thanks,
Shawn

I go back and forth between Shell and Chevron, depends where I'm going/coming from. I'll use 76 once in a blue moon if I'm near it when I need it, but that isn't often.
Thanks for all or your responses. I have and will only use premium but for you tuners out there, have you noticed any gas co out there that don't have good quality gas? In NE there was a gas station that had horrible "premium" gas which would cause knock. Buddy had a sti stock with no tune and it was knocking using 91 premium oct.

This guy ain't lying. My uncle is the number 1 driver at aloha, he said they just ripped off the aloha sticker on the tanks, but it's still on the cabs of the trucks.
Personally I just use whatever is cheapest. Which is normally costco. I've never had any issues with aloha's gas personally. I've used chevron and tesoro before but never noticed any difference at all besides I paid more for a tank of gas.

no worries of real crappy gas here, gas only comes from a few main suppliers. Either re-branded as some say. Aloha gas being sold as costco gas or shell as we now know.
Fwiw; I log every tank, I've run shell/chevron and compared it to Costco with negligible difference in performance and mpg's, Costco is consistent as far as I can tell (and yes, seen the Aloha trucks fill up their tanks too)

a few guys to include myself are tuned on Costco (Aloha gas) and we have never complained about knock. This tune was done on my Evo. As for my Subie I used Shell and 76, if I remember correctly I tuned on 76 last time.
of course none of this is relevant because if you were tuned on good or crappy gas your tuner would have tuned your car for safety to the point he saw no knock. on top of that it is just good business to have a safety buffer.
