Since I already bought one of them, I dont want the pain of second guessing my decision.

Man that was a hard decision. But I'm very happy with the STi! Can't wait till I can Auto-X it.

So how much does one actually pay for a G35 anyway?

Employee price on my IS300 (back at the end of 2000) was $29k out the door on a retail OTD of $33.5k.

What's a well-optioned 6mt G35 coupe set somebody back?

Fully loaded with all the goodies, about $35,000...to increase to $37,000 when the 2004 models arrive.

I couldnt belive when the STi came in at the price it did, way lower than the G35, but if you add in the stereo and such it sorta evens out I think. Whatever people say I do think most WILL add a stereo. But as we all know they are different beasts. I heard $35k loaded 6mt and all leather.

Im definitely happy and now that I got my system installed I couldnt be happier.

BTW, I saw your car yesterday at Special T. Nice looking setup you got installed.

Based on the recommendations here, I took my wife's Protege 5 in for tinting yesterday (they did a great job) and got a good look at Dave's car. Pointed it out to my wife and tried to sell her on the idea of me picking one up. She said for the price I should get something more "plush" like a G35 Couple LOL.

Thanks, it turned out real nice. They did an awesome job fabricating the STI logo in the trunk. Very happy with it. I wanted all the stuff in the rear covered since the kid is coming and I didnt want something like a stroller (I shudder at the thought of a kid in the STi) punching through a sub or scratching an amp so they hid it. A bit more stealthy since I dont need lookie-loos seeing a ton of equipment when I open the trunk. Sounds pretty nice, gotta figure out all the settings.

Yeah my wife likes the STi and realizes its my car, but I think feels the same. Like I said before if we were still in the states and would be driving longer distances and such I would have gotten the G35, but we cant drive for more than about 2 hours here so no biggie. =)
