You'll need a 5mm spacer to clear the 5x100 (04 STi) Brembos.

The rims are on my car. I have them for over 2 years. I'm interested in a brake upgrade. That's why I ask. Anyway, we are getting off topic.

If you want to substantially upgrade your brakes (larger calipers and rotors), you're probably going to have to choose different wheels. You're very limited with the wheels you have.
STI BBS wheels are fairly cheap, clear the Brembos and will be lighter when you factor in the 17" wheel versus an 18" wheel and the lighter weight of 17" tires versus 18" tires. The 17" wheel and tire will also have less rotational weight, which gives you better accelleration and braking. Not to mention the 17" tires are cheaper. I have a set of 04 STI BBS wheels with nearly new tires I picked up on Oahu for $1000.
I'd suggest always going with the smallest diameter (not width) wheel and tire that will clear your brakes (or the brakes you plan on running). Sorry if I'm off topic.

Why not get that Rotora brake kit? The one that normal WRXs can fit their stockies around? Should be a good upgrade for your uses...unless you're thinking of running time attack or something.

18 lbs isn't heavy for an 18, but not light, especially for a 7.5 width. My 16X7.5 SSRs clear 320s front and rear with room to spare. My 17X8.5 SSRs are much lighter and wider than the Volks and clear huge brakes.
If you really want a big brake kit, I'd suggest you look at different wheels. I would also advise you look at a quality kit like StopTech or Brembo, not Rotora.
Not sure why you needed to add "your highness".

As for the Rotora, I'd avoid it as there have incidences in BAIC where they have proven unreliable.
