wow. just hit the 'strip for the first time ever. did pretty bad i think. ran a 15.1/15.4/15.3....won/lost/won. won-integra, lost-VW golf (missed 4th), won-mustang (missed a gear/slow start). so.....yeah. ill try to post the slips tomorrow. i have an 03 WRX: sti trunk, stage II clutch (plate may be slippin), RSR short shift, TurboXS RFL and axle-back. someone tell me what i did wrong! i know i should be runnin high 14s or so at most. ouch.

that's about right....just work on your launch and shifting......but i just have to add you dont get much flow with an axle back as compared to a cat back or a turbo back...what kind of clutch you running???

just so there is no questions or doubt: here are the slips (not actual, but typed up, dont have a scanner):

1st Run (lane 2 against white integra lane 3) (11.24PM)
1.006---reaction---.677
2.211---60 ft-------2.351
9.680---1/8ET------(inop for lane)
71.65---1/8mph----(inop for lane)
15.117--1/4ET------16.281
89.27----1/4mph---82.87
analysis: first run ever on tree; rpms not high enough; launch not good.

2nd Run (lane 2 against white vw lane 3) (11:53PM)
1.336---reaction---.733
2.174---60ft--------2.492
9.823---1/8ET------(inop for lane)
67.66---1/8mph----(inop for lane)
15.431--1/4ET------15.661
87.54----1/4mph----90.69
analysis: same as before; missed 4th gear; he physically won, i dont know how that works....

3rd Run (lane 2 against red mustang lane 3) (12:02AM)
.982---reaction---.750
2.163--60ft--------2.430
9.807--1/8ET------(inop for lane)
68.59--1/8mph----(inop for lane)
15.394--1/4ET-----16.701
87.42----1/4mph--82.88
analysis: launch started slow then LAUNCHED; missed a gear somewhere (dont remember.

Overall: i need more practice on the tree and keeping the rpms where i need to as well as slippin the clutch. but overall for a first nite, not bad. Opinions?

uhhh not trying to be funny but its a good thing you haven't raced that civic you were talking about a few weeks ago. you really need some practice on your launch. oh yeah and please slow down

^^^true that...just practice and you'll get it...launch it at 7k(no im kidding), try holding it at 4k first and work your way up to 5k whenever you think your ready...

btw..pls be careful out there...

if you wanna get a good tree launch.....try hold the throttle somewhere in between 5-6k....and while the last yellow light is on and is about to turn green slip it...should give you a great reaction time.....although reaction really doesn't matter if you're just racing for a time.....it would matter when you wanna spank a friend...........

oh yeah...another helpful hint.....make sure you stage first so it'll give you time to prep your RPM's.....b'cuz santa claus sometimes doesn't give the second person time to stage and prep...LoL

try get your 60ft time below 2sec (work on the launch). as for miss shifting, i practice with the car off (not hard or fast), just try and get used to where the gears are. im no expert, only dragged my car once, but just trying to help.
