Well...as some of you at the meet on Friday were updated on the status of my 05 STi repaint saga. My 3pm deadline came and went and nothing changed...except for the deadline. 12pm tomorrow in Aiea somewhere. At this point, I really dont give a **** about it anymore. If i get it back, yay. If not, I won't probably have it back anytime soon. I told you all from the meet that I would let you know...and that's the update. I'll let you guys know tomorrow...

 

sorry to hear that update, joey...damn, at least file a missing car report to cover you if you need to file an insurance claim later on. did he at least call you???

Sounds like he found someone that would paint his car either under the table, privately, or something like that. Then the dude has taken far too long to return the car.

 

Sound like what happened to my cousin, but he got his car stolen by the painter friends.

Hey Joey as a fellow 05 CGM owner myself I feel your pain. I know I gave you a lot of crap at the meet this past friday (in general) but I have a .40 cal you may want to borrow to retrieve your car back.

by chance did you atleast remember to write down the mileage of your car? maybe even took one step more to change your base map to a valet type/low or no boost?

The car was taken to someone who had painted my second STi and he did good work for the price. Apprently, his schedule has become quite dificult for him to juggle a full-time job and painting. I've gotten excuses after excuses for why its been delayed and even missed the tune because of "delays".

As of 12:14pm today, he said the car had a few more items to be bolted on and he would deliver the vehicle to my house. We'll see if it gets here tonight. If it does, yay. If not, the report will be made.

Jess...thanks for the use of your .40 cal...I have one as well...and three .45 cal friends to call on if need be

Sorry for no updates last night. I was a little tired after the car arrived at my house after 10:30pm and I decided to look it over.

Mileage is good and the car is in good shape. Its hard to see the overall quality of the job, but my first impression is that it is done well so far. Thanks again for all the support!

 

What was the mileage difference?
