Exhaust recommendations...?

After today's meat, I've decided to part with my stock exhaust system.
I want that rumble, but not a screaming roar, if that makes sense.

Any recommendations? I can install, I'm just lost when it comes to branding

The Borla Hush is nice and mellow with the stock downpipe.

Hmmm. Well I'm really not familiar with the NA exhaust system. Fitment isn't the issue so much as making sure you have a UEL. There was a thread somewhere on here where a guy was asking what his options were for his Impreza 2.5. The overall consensus was that the catback wouldnt rumble since the car came stock with the equal length header. First step, find out if your LGT came with El or UEL

Nice meeting you today! This is Brent.

If you want the thump...you are going to have to pick up a UEL N/A header like the Borla...as far as an exhaust...

I've found that the deeper sounding exhausts are the standard styles like the Borla Hush, Magnaflow, etc...the round, can style's are a little higher pitched with more of a burble than a rumble...

Go on LegacyGT.com and check out the N/A area of your year...you'll find a lot of exhausts that members there use...

Youtube is also a great source for actual exhaust sounds on a N/A Legacy...

Let the hunt begin!

Nice meeting you today as well Brent!!

Thanks for the recommendations, everyone. I think I'm gunna go with the UEL Borla headers.

Does anybody know much about Strömung mufflers? I saw them on boxer4racing, but have never heard of the brand..

Hmm..gotcha. I'm gonna do a bit more sound research, and start funding this little project. Will definitely post the finished results.

Stromungs sound nice and deep...piece it together...I also like the sound of the Prodrive exhaust on the N/A's as well...

You probably won't be satisfied with just the header...it will sound better than your stocker but in the end...you'll get a nice catback to mate with the header. Good luck...post up after you have installed your exhaust...
