I guess it's safe to assume that even though you think you can drive, doesn't mean you can drive.

Evo's don't crash themselves.........

Driving a 110HP FWD car is differrent than driving a 275HP AWD car. There is less room to be stupid. They are just learning the hard way.

Yeah the steering ratio is insane from what I have read. Way tighter than ours. Ive only sat in an EVO and didnt like it one bit, dont like the styling either.

Darryl, Dan and Tim are the three guys who I'd love to see test drive the EVO like it should be driven. I think that their perspectives would be most interesting.

As far as power goes, it seems as unmodded they aren't all that impressive down the quarter mile, but apparently they are pretty easily modded, ref. Alfriedesq over on Nasioc. That guys is putting down some crazy numbers.

Well I drove a EVO VIII today and I have to say it's a really nice car. They let me take the Demo EVO out so I got to play alittle.

There is just two things I don't like about it.

1) The interior and stereo suX yO! It's just like a base Lancer! (expect for the seats, they rock and are much better then the STi)

2) The Price $34,995 is as low as they would go today.

Now here are some of my opinions on the EVO VIII

a) The EVO VIII's suspension kicks booty, it just feel great! The STi's suspension feels like a 4X4 truck, compared to the EVO VIII

b) The EVO VIII is not as fast as a STi - Period!

c) The EVO VIII is not worth the Hawaii price - Period!

d) If the STi and EVO VIII both had 2.0L engines at around 275HP, 6-speed tranys and cost the same......I'd have to say, I'd get a EVO VIII because of the EVO's steering and suspension.

e) The STi is a better overall deal - Period!

I wouldn't trade my STi for an EVO VIII but the EVO VIII would be a killer 2nd car. That's my fast $.02 review.
