This fighter is crazy, dead serious. Had his fight today on CBS and making a name in MMA. Been following this cat since someone on HIIC posted this monster on his youtube days. Well you could look up his credentials, so check this out:

Last night I was at "Lisa's House" Bar and Grill, near the airport. Me and the high school drinking buddies were drinking it up last night watching the fight. Kimbo layed some dam good punches....Oh ya, the Hot wings at Lisa's House off the hook
Kimbo is a frickin' joke.
No way he should be a main event fighter...he's pretty much a sideshow that EliteXC is throwing out there to get the promotion on TV. If EliteXC didn't have Kimbo there's no damned way CBS would've signed up with them.
Kimbo would get his *** beat by any real A or B level fighter in the UFC, WEC or Japan leagues (whatever they call themselves now). The only thing Kimbo has is that he is a scray looking dude, a good trainer and this Shaw guy is willing to pay him huge money...but he's only got a puncher's chance against someone with true skill.
It's too bad Kimbo is so old and just starting out, he could've possibly been good if he started getting training like 5-10 years ago.

^i agree mostly, but i think he could handle a few of the WEC's heavyweights, most of em are pretty one dimensional (and pretty clumsy in that one dimension). but by no means should his skill warrant him a main event match.

he would not last with his ground work, but he's working on it so he don't get dusted
the fighter is 32, but has the spririt and athletesism of a "homeless chronic"

If Kimbo were even 5 years younger, I would say that he has potential, especially training under Bas Rutten. But at his age, I think the best he can be is a gatekeeper, kinda like Gary Goodridge was in Pride. Kimbo looked pretty bad on the bottom and especially when Thomson had him pinned against the fence. It'd be fun to watch EliteXC send either pure grapplers or technical strikers against him next. Either that, or let Kimbo fight "The Grim" and it'll be a sanctioned version of the old YouTube fights
But, I DO agree that Brock vs. Kimbo would be a good next match. Kimbo would have a good chance of knocking out Brock when they're standing, but I'm sure Brock would take Kimbo down ASAP, probably ground and pound his way to a TKO over Kimbo.
On a side note, was anyone bummed about the stoppage in Smith vs. Lawler. I felt bad for them and I felt gypped myself
