I'm not a Honda fanboy.....
But I disagree with their choice of the Honda 3L V6
Honda 3L DOHC V6 (Accord coupe) 2997cc 240 hp 212 lbs torque
vs.
Honda 2.2L DOHC I-4 (S2000) 2157cc 240hp 162 lbs torque
teh F22C= teh winnAr
Honda 3L DOHC V6 (Accord coupe) 2997cc 240 hp 212 lbs torque
vs.
Honda 2.2L DOHC I-4 (S2000) 2157cc 240hp 162 lbs torque
teh F22C= teh winnAr

I believe I need to point out that you're stating that the Accord is DOHC, but they state SOHC.
Ok, so how on earth could they choose that engine and how on earth can Honda produce such a big bear when their little powerplant would most likely fit the bill in some of their medium sized cars?
I don't know much about Honda powerplants, except generally they are globally respected in the civilian as well as racing worlds.
The 2.2 is certainly much lighter than the 3. It's inline structure would surely prove to eliminate or decrease the inertia (does it need a harmonic dampener?) 162 seems wanting to some folks, but at least in a light-frame car, it should prove to be adequate and easy to overcome.
The 3 liter is defeated by it's weight obviously, right, as well as the length of it's stroke. The engineers must be trying to accomplish something by that, I just don't know what.
I think that they must have been wanting to acclaim the VTEC but chose the wrong powerplant.
I wonder what the b&s are for the S2k. I bet it's short stroke.

I would really like to see what they think of the JDM EJ20T block. Since it comes with forged pistons and the AVCS on both intake and exhaust sides. I am happy that a EJ made it in there though. I can't believe that the renesis made it in there.

They have a different list? The 3.5 from the Acura RL is listed as is the 3.0/IMA Accord hybrid.
FWIW, the engine is still incorrectly listed as a DOHC. Honda only makes one DOHC V-6 and that is the NSX. The engine from the S2000 made the list for 2000 and 2001, the RSX-S engine made it in 2002 and 2003.
I'm a Honda fan, but considering what I do, it should be excused.

What do you do?
I'm not on Subaru's jock, especially since I'm currently replacing their hypereutectic pistons, but engineering wise, the EJ257 is no slouch.
I would honestly like to know as well, an engineer's opinion of the RB25/26 vs the VQ and vs all.
