Would a cobb ap and a boost controller work together or would I have to choose one or the other. if I have to choose which one?

i used to run an SBC-ID with my AccessPort while drag racing. Typically any tuner will tell you not to since it takes away from why you're using the AP to begin with. If you're wanting to control boost then you maybe want to change to either the streettuner version or just go opensource and get rid of the AP

You have to be careful with a boost controller and an OTS map. The standard stage II map isn't mapped out to hit boost at low throttle angles, and the stock turbo can spool so quickly, that you can easily hit full boost at part throttle before the ECU kicks into open loop, which is not good; the ECU uses throttle ange and rpm to set boost.

If you have a custom map, you can change the closed loop/open loop transition to account for quick part throttle boost, however

If you have it hooked up on the stock OTS map right now, be careful with boost in 4th 5th and 6th at part throttles.

It would be okay if you used a gear based boost controller, as you could limit the boost in the upper gears which would better simulate the stock mapping for the BCS.
