For a stock boost/stock suspension setup, would mount upgrades help my launch? Keep in mind that I'm from the "lift @ 5-6k" school of launching. If so, know any reliable vendors and parts to ask for...STI group N? Thanks!

 

Talk to andrew (stinightfall) maybe he can help you get a deal on the tranny and motor mounts. I could also reccomend Dave over at www.oakos.com. Very good vendor and very customer oriented.

I think that with your stock suspension, mounts would not help a whole lot. I could be wrong though....BTW how did the samco hose install go ?

Steven, I was thinking of those mounts because there's so much mush/rocking with the motor even in daily driving. I think my mounts may be dead from abuse. The engine must rock about 6 inches on launch! That movement combined with my nose lifting about a foot off the line must make for some drive-line power loss... I dunno...

The Samco install took me about an hour! I had a few guys giving me pointers along the way. They fit pretty good...I just hope I tightened the clamps enough. I don't know if it was the hoses or the ECU reset, but I swear I can pull up H2 to Mauka harder than before! Anyways, I'll be at the track Friday to test it out.
