Mazda just voided my warrenty
I took my 6s 5sp to a local track to see what could it do stock. Since I got mods planned for it. Well I was getting the good ol' 3rd gear grinding crap like many of us have before I went to the track. Well yesterday I dropped it off as a late night drop off well they called me today saying that they had someone down there at the track and they saw a blue 6 and to watch out if he comes in because I ran twice. Well because of that (and the exhaust I'm sure) they are voiding all my warrenty.
i went to the GM and spoke to him i did tell him i went to the track to see what it could do stock wise (Im not a person that lies to good people he was a nice guy). However if what you said 84FordMan (Guy on a Mazda6 board) is true then they can't prove that my tranny is bad because of me and not there fault.. correct??
Either way i am meeting with some big wig next week to talk about getting my tranny fixed and my brakes
The GM explained it like this they have to report any car seen racing or what not they report it to "MAZDA" the corp. level i guess and "Mazda" desides NOT to warrent the car any longer. So its not the dealer its the company all together.

Mazda has had problems with trannies in the past. Automatics as well as manual. I bought a Millenia years back and the trannie went out 2 months later. Mazda said it was because of my COLD AIR INTAKE AND EXHAUST and basically tried to tiptoe around the fact that they have probs. After $4500 for a new tranny and other people comming forward with the same problems. I'll never own a zoom zoom again. Unless of course its a RX7.
As far as I was told from a close friend who works for Mazda. Ford make the trannies on some cars. UUUHHHH!!!!

I don't think Millenia used Wankels. Weren't they Miller cycle engines?
