Don't eat at L&L - Airport...found maggots in the food!
Okay, i went to L&L yesterday morning to have breakfast with the parents before they headed back to Big Island. We ordered a mushroom omelet (dad), shrimp omelet (me), and eggs, rice, and ham plate (mom). We were almost pau with our food when my mom asked what were these little white things in her food. When we looked at it closer, it had little legs like a caterpiller and a brown tip on the end. We looked at it more....AND IT WAS FRICKEN MAGGOTS! I almost puked right there and then! When I told them about the maggots, they offered us another plate for each of us instead of a refund. I asked for the manager and they were like, "sorry, no manager on duty." I got the name of the manager and the number, but it's not enough. I'm trying to get in touch with Eddie Flores (Founder and President of L&L) and ask how does he plan to address this.
The killer was mom thought it was some type of seasoning so she ate a sh!tload of maggots. I never saw momz that pissed.

I say go straight to the department of health...have them do a surprise inspection....that's friggen gross man...hope your mom is ok...like sykosis said...sue-job!!

ate there religiously along with byrons...

if we all sue them for maggots then i'm pretty sure we can get a discount on lawyer fees, kinda like a group buy :banana:

Pearl Harbor L&Ls gots some health problems as well, you guys ever tried "Flies in your Fries!" me and a bunch of my co-workers were sharing some fries then all of a sudden at the bottom of the bag we found what we thought were burnt fries, upon further investigation turns out it was a shiet load of deep fried FLIES!...i showed the manager and all he said was "what found some critters?" "would you like more fries?" sheesh its no surprise that they lost the contract to serve food at Pearl Harbor.
I also work at pearl harbor and ate at the l&l a few times. a coworker told me they seen a big healthy rat in the place one day. now I refuse to eat at any l&l. And what kills me is they got an award for the island's best plate lunch. Sorry about your mom, I hope she gets something from it.

Yeah, it was mad gross. I'm really thinkin of suein them for that ****.
But, u know what? I'll bet theres a crap load of places that have problems like that - like small moms and pops places. Man, working around the airport there are a lot of places that I question.
Has anyone eaten at Chan's buffet? Dude, found some crazy stuff in their food too! Can we say fingernail clippings? Yeah, and it was in the chinese chicken salad too.
Bottom line, i'm gonna talk to a lawyer and see where this goes. Maggots in food is THE grossest thing. Man, im still nauseous.
