I smoked nearly 1 pack a day for close to 10 years before quitting 100% cold turkey ~5 years ago. I still miss it like crazy when I'm around it, but I've got such an addictive personally I know that I couldn't even smoke 5 puffs before getting hooked again so I stay away.

What about you guys?

Since you clarified to cigarettes, nope, never did. Tried ONE once and hated it. Can only stand being around em when Im drunk.

i voted as Never Did.... as in getting addicted. I tried to smoke as all my friends did it... but never could pick it up. I may smoke when i'm drunk... but when u're drunk.. anything happens. Sorry to all that are caught in that nicotine web.. Good luck getting out.

Started smoking, dipping, and/or smoking and dipping in 1989 when I was 19. October for the dipping and December 19th for the smoking. Stopped smoking for a couple of years in 1995, but never ceased dipping.

I smoke, and I have made several attempts to quit all of the attempts have failed. I hopefully will quit eventually, I have to have the right mindset to do it.

Smoked about 1-2 packs a day for 14 years...quit back in '86, also cold turkey! However, I now smoke about 2 ounces of weed a day...almost as expensive as cigarettes! haha! j/k!
