Do women want to hear the truth?

Why do they ask questions like.....

1) Am I fat?
2) Are you listening to me?
3) Do you like your friends more than me?
4) Why don't you want to spend some time with me?
5) Do you want to talk?
6) How are doing today? or How do you feel?
7) Do you want to be with other women?
8) Does my butt look big in this?

Anyone have anymore good questions that women don't want to hear the truth to?

How about when women ask "Do you think she's good looking?"

That kinda reminds me of that Friends episode when Ross slept with that copy girl because he thought he and Rachel were 'on a break.' When Rachel found out that he did, she asked him how 'it' was. He hesitated, and said it was 'Different.' She was VERY upset at that answer. I thought it was hilarious.

Awesome.

I once got in trouble like that. We were broke up, but friendly, and I figured that if I went out and found some fat girl as an quick fix, it'd be better than the usual 'self lovin'. I was dumb enough to tell on myself.

Women want to believe the best. They don't want to hear the truth.

They DEFINITELY want to hear the truth.

It's just that it's THEIR truth and not the real truth.

Whatever makes the cave damp, nuwhutimean?

Roger to BL... It's a lack of self respect (searching for validation externally) and inherent co-dependency.

They want you to lie to them, and then lie to them again about your first lie being the truth.

Is it a wonder why there are divorces?

Girls need friends that are girls to listen to this "talk". They need boyfriends/husbands to do man sh*t.

That's how it should be.

I listen to Erin when she wants to talk, but she knows that I am NOT going to be of any help twiddling my thumbs and biting my tongue while she talks about the newest nail polish or "cute top" that she's interested in. She has girlfriends for that.

Now if there are jars to open or bugs to smash or oil to change or decisions to make or driving to be done... Then I'm the right man for the job!

Heheheh. Well, of course it's not that black and white but Erin is AWESOME in this (and many other) regard(s).

She tries to keep her girl ish to the girls and the dude stuff for me. I dig it.

LOL.

I've only been married a couple years but I got some very good advice from the guys at work. When it comes to your girlfriend/wife you have a choice...

You can either be right or happy.

Also, when she comes over and complains about something, 99% of the time she just wants someone to listen. Guys want to offer suggestions on how to 'fix' the problem. They don't want that, they just want a sympathetic ear.

That is hands down, the best advice I've ever gotten. And it was from my 80yr old aunt.

It kills me, she's 80 and she's still a playa. No joke.

Yup. All of my married friends at my last job (when I was planning on getting married to the girl I was with at the time) told me that I should be getting prepared to "never be right again".

I think that's BS, but I guess that's the way it has to be - right?

I think we make stupid concessions for poon - but that's how we are programmed I guess.

Ryan, Erin has a cute sister! She just happens to be 11 or something right now.

so You're the one guy that voted for "YES", Richard ?

Alotta good stuff's been said.. They jus want someone to listen to their rant and not someone to fix the problem. It's hard, but i bite my tongue.. and when i don't say anything i get the "Are you listening to me?" So i've got the ''not trying to fix'' part... i jus gotta do the ''paying attention'' better...
