Dirt roads?

So I was watching a motor trend video about our wonderful scoobs and it motivated me.

I was wondering, are there any good dirt roads out here that won't obliterate my car that are really fun?

You should come to Rally X with us at KRP. Are you lowered?

Slightly. Just have some springs in there with a minor drop. 1in front and .8 rear.

I wanna do that though I just always thought it was really tough on the car.

with springs you should be fine, granted the road isnt really rutted and lots of suddne dips or bumps, growing up in the south had its perks of having all this stuff, and we made use of it, youll be fine on most gravel roads, just drive it easy first to familiarize with it, and then lay it down lol. your paint and body might suffer the most from rocks
edit: i realize that gravel roads and dirt roads here might be different, back home they were a mix of both, usually more gravel, thats what i base my response off of

Yeahhhh I miss being home...So many more places.

How much is it to register? And what kind of leg work do I need to do? I'm assuming it's fairly simple?

Very simple. Just need a helmet and shoes and a car that can pass safety (nothing loose in the car, especially battery). We have one every month, just had a big one at Kualoa ranch with 39 drivers. Had a few newer STi's, a Stock focus, etc. you should at least come and check out the next event and you can decide. Check the Rally X threads for some pictures.

It sounds like a lot of fun! I've been wanting to get into this or the autoX since I got here. It might be slightly embarrassing though with how bad I'll be at first hahaha. I'm definitely going to come check it out though.

Main gate to makapuu rd. Turn right. Just past gas station turn left Harris ave. right on middaugh st. Turn in dirt roar near beach. Double check for base 5-0 and have a little fun. Keep it safe till you are 100% some asshat isn't jogging on it even though a joggin path was nicely paved for them nearby. Near end is a metal gate that I think says keep out. I didn't listen and sank my car in 3 feet of water.

Everyone starts out bad at first, don't worry, it's addicting!
Other "fun but maybe not legal" roads... all I can say is - pineapple fields.
