Did anyone take any pics at the trackday?

I didn't see anyone, but I was hoping.

I know Schuman's gonna have their bit on OC16 in Dec, according to Chris, but I'm wondering about the video that was being taken of the race & everything. Any word on that? Speedgear 4.0?

I only took one in-car vid in the 2nd heat (shortcourse) but it was pretty crappy. It's taken me all day to d/l it to my computer and I'm still not done. I've been diagnosed with a serious case of lazy today. Doesn't it seem like after the trackday, everything after is such a downer? I had so much fun, I didn't want it to end.

I saw plenty taking

pics and video. Was hoping to see some to check my lines and generally see how I was doing.

Unfortunately, my video is terrible. I've downloaded it to my computer, but it is so bouncy and jumpy that it might just make whomever views it throw up on their keyboard...or else my terrible driving skills might.

I was able to critique myself, though. I can tell where I was getting anxious, and where I didn't fully understand how I was supposed to approach a certain part of the track.

For instance, ha ha ha, it didn't sink in to me until the last heat that I was supposed to slow down going into the chicane. Honestly. It got so bad one time that I drove straight through it. That and it took quite a few laps for me to figure out which gear to go into the tirehouse. 4th was my conclusion, but I had to nurse it through with a little coasting and tapping the accelerator. I never did quite figure out turn one until I rode with Dan and then Charles. I was probably 8 feet away from the yellow 'cone' on the right side of the track by the braking pylons.

I can be a little thickheaded. I'll admit, too, that the Honda wreck raised my anxiety level a little bit. That and the fact that I hadn't done this for over a year.

Goddamn, what fun!
