DEFI Boost Gauge T-Connector?
Anybody know what size T-connector I need to get to install the DEFI Amber BF boost Gauge?
I bought the set with the Controller II but don't have the T-connector...I ask this because I've noticed on some T's that the three legs are like 1/8 - 3/16 in size with the middle leg having a metal reducer on it going to the pressure sensor...
Can anyone who has installed one confirm the size of T-connector for me...
Thanks in advance
Brent

no special reducer?
ok, sounds good...doesn't look like the reducer is necessary...
I bought both sizes but I think I need the 3/16 x2 and the 1/8 center...

I saw a post from you mentioning that you where going to get the AVO corner gauge pod. Did you end up getting it? How did it look? The Defi BF gauges are too big for it correct? It is a 52mm pod amd the BF gauges only come in 60mm?

OMG! these gauges are the easiest gauges to install.
Eric you should know better than that! LOL.
The BF gauges ONLY come in 60mm and you will NOT be able to fit them into the AVO gauge pod (unless you plan on modifying it)

what type of BF gauge is it?
you will need to make sure you have the Control Unit V2 in order to use the BF gauge
you will need the power cable for the control unit
you will need the wireharness(s) to connect your gauges to your control unit
you will need the wireharness(s) to connect your gauges together
if it's a boost gauge you will need the vacuum sensor (don't know the name of it) it is black and a rubber hose connects to it
you will need a hose "T"

i believe i have all that stuff minus enough rubber hose to put it all together. i only have one approx 10 inch section of hose. (hehe 10 inches) anyways i have also heard of several different methods of hooking up the vaccum sensor and i just dont want to tap into the wrong lines. when it comes to simple crap like and uppipe im all there but im not good with this electrical/boost stuff yet.
and its the defi bf amber

I did end up getting the AVO Gauge pod
for the 60mm DEFI Amber BF Boost gauge...
it fits perfect and looks awesome. My Boost gauge also came with the hood...I'll try and take some pics when I get a chance...
I also ended up getting a T-Connector with the following configuration...
1/4" Top (to APS BOV)
3/16" Center to Defi Pressure Sensor
3/16" Bottom back to line...

I'm assuming is a boost gauge since you talked about the boost vaccum sensor.
you can get the hose from Ron's/Checkers/Napa...etc. just make sure that it's vaccum hose and not heater hose...etc. you might have to get some type of hose other than vaccum since I wasn't able to find a certain size locally. The only problem with running something OTHER THAN vaccum line is that it cannot hold the pressure like vaccum hose does.

only problem is that it can be a very large fitting that sits in your engine bay. That is the only down fall of that method but it does guarentee that the setup will work and fit
