Use an adhesive remover (3M Adhesive Remover, Goo Gone, WD40). I used the 3M adhesive remover and some fishing line (dental floss can be used also). I sprayed the 3M stuff on, the S U B A R U lettering and let it soak in for a few minutes. The used the fishing line to get the letters off. The spray the 3M stuff on the foam sticky stuff that is still left on the trunk, let it sit for a 10 min. From there used my finger and towel to get the sticky foam stuff off. Once it is all gone, wash car to get rid of any chemicals that are still left on truck and wax.
Good luck

^^^what they said...use fishing line. But instead of goo gone, use laquer thinner...sticky comes right off without harming factory paint...and it's also a lot easier than goo gone
