Wow, I'm buying S2000 Joey's red Bride Pros. Was going to go with Takatas, but let me look around and see about the TRW harness.

Hmm, bought it off Mike and sold it to Barry. I would ask those guys. Cant remember off the top of my head.

san, it is a speedware harness bar. i am very ready to throw it on the sti already. just gotta make sure it doesn't throw me into another class. shouldn't as it is a safety thing. the mouton's site addresses it too and it seems to be allowed.

As a rough guide, if your car has modifications beyond this list it is not eligible for Stock Category:
*edit to save space*
Added roll bar or roll cage to spec (not required, though)
Driver harness (no cutting seats to install, though) "

and to be even more accurate:

"Driver restraints as outlined in Section 3.3.1 are allowed. Seats may not be cut to allow for the installation of alternate seat belts or harnesses. Passive restraint systems may not be removed. A horizontal "harness bar" may be used as part of the installation hardware for allowed driver restraints. It may serve no other purpose (e.g., structural enhancement). "

Actually,

it does act as structural enhancement. I ordered one this morning. Farid had told me it stiffened up the center section also. Mine should be here Friday.

Taken from Speedware Motorsports' site, "The resulting ride stiffens the center of the car allowing the WRX to handle much harder cornering loads."

yeah, i was fully aware of that, but as long as it is used as part of the drivers restraint seat belt and not solely structural enhancement, it should be good. as opposed to having the bar in the car and not using the harness, that would move me out.

there probably isn't any horizontal harness bar that doesn't stiffen the car up. so for them to say it is alright should be because it is needed to run the harness. and only acceptable in stock if used with the harness.

if anyone has the full skinny on this, please let me know.
