Car Info: 2004 Subaru STI/WRX Silver of course
Why do people think the warrenty is void just because a car has aftermarket parts on it can somebody show me in the Subaru warrenty were it says that. All I have read is that if the part is the direct cuase of a failure then the warrenty is void...So if I put a cat back on my car and the instrument cluster stops working they are not going to fix it come on people....Aftermarket parts don't void your warrenty. And that list that was floating around a while back that listed parts that void your warrenty was bogus I talked to subygal from the other site and her dealership never heard of it...

I wasn't talking about Schuman...The person I talked to who works at Subaru works at one in Washington...Plus a dealership that sells all alot of these parts we put on our cars would have a hard time void somebody's warrenty for having aftermarket parts on their car....These guys are a good example

http://www.flat4engineering.com/main/index.htm

They sell a bunch of stuff...I'm not saying they won't void your warrenty from what I have read the part has to be what caused the problem... Void my warrenty they better have a good reason because I'll get a lawyer.....

for a little help in clarification- when we say schuman we don't mean the dealership. we mean schuman the distributor- they are the ones that are very strict when it comes to granting warranty reimbursement on cars that have been modified. grant it a warranty(on engine for example) will not be void simply because of a suspension modification(or vice versa) coming from schumans viewpoint it makes sense- its more of "quality control" iguess... to make sure that people don't abuse the warranty priveledges.

not tryin to sound smart or anything- so someone can correct me if i'm wrong here
