One day while working on a show for the Children's Television Workshop on HBO I had the pleasure of meeting a Great American actor by the name of James Earl Jones.
Back in those days I often wore a lot of Hooah gear, and one day on the set I came in contact with Mr. Jones, he looked at me for a moment and then at my Ranger Tab tee shirt and Said "is that for real, where'd you get that shirt"?
I smiled and told him that I had just gotten out of the Ranger Battalion, and his face just lit up and he told me that he had been in the Rangers during the Korean War Era teaching as a cold weather instructor at Camp Ripley, Minn.
We talked for a good long time and got along great, just as two Rangers usually do!
And so there you have it folks, James Earl Jones, the man that made Darth Vader who He is (that voice is everything to the character) was indeed a U.S. Army Ranger!
