Very good program! I've used it many times...

Didn' t know you were into that sort of thing guys. You might want to check out this site for all your DVD burning needs http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ they got some how to guides and what media rated the best... etc.

Hope this helps a bit

So is this what I need to copy DVD's? Also what size DVD-r disk do I need to copy a movie to?

I have a 4.7GB 120 video disk, will a movie fit on that?

Depends on what type of movie your trying to copy!

If you use this guide: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php you'll be able to know if your copying a DVD-9 or a DVD-5 Type DVD.

Currently the majority of DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW only support 4.7GB discs. Some companies make double sided type butmost DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW don't support it.

I'd assume you have a -R/RW drive since you mentioned it above. If you have access to a -RW disc I would try it out first so that you don't waste blank -R's

you should check that site out though

ok nevermind about what I said earlier...

Just know that every dvd recording media is 4.7GB (standard). If you use a DVD rewritable to practice you won't get a lot of coasters... Use the guides on http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ and it will help you with all the technicals

Jon

Most DVD movies are DVD-9 (which means that the dvd has 2 layers). This means that you CANNOT copy them to a single disc. Usually 2 discs per movie

DVD's like the ones sold at speedgear (360 Video types) are 1 layer types (DVD-5) which you CAN copy to a 4.7GB disc with no problems.

Just use DVD Decrypter to help you identify which type they are. If you want a program that will copy a 2 layer dvd to multiple discs let me know

Copying DVD's is cool kinda cause well you are one of the few that can... But for us poor folk, we just make VCD's. Much quicker, and works in most newer DVD players and CDROMS.
