i got utec but you cant borrow it. lol. what am i going to use? your tuned ecu? bobby, i say either
1. send out your ecu to have it reflashed to our hawaii weather. (if possible) i say that cuz rudys doing fine with his and i believe his was a tuned ecu from the mainland also.
2. buy a utec and start with base map then try to fine tune from there.
3. dont know much about accessport. i had it. it was good. but i just didnt like their safety feature aka boost tapering towards redline.. dont know much about street tuner also.. i say go with utec and try and have ryan tune it. if you plan on tuning it yourself, good luck. you know justin the guy you had conflict with right? hes like a guru and he had hard time tuning. if we had a dyno thats a different story..
4. change your turbo.
you can still keep your tmic and everything else. swap it out to a vf-34. and i dont knwo what kind of size injectors your running but im guessing you have to swap them out as well...

dont think im gonna get rid of my turbo though......i already have a tec 18G

vishnu reflashed, which is the partial reason that's holding me back from high 12's...the only thing is that it's already programmed for what i have...
to which the xede has more programs you can play/tune with...

i have had my utec now for about 4 months now and i love it. just from the pre-set base map you feel like it's not the same car anymore. i am currently running the stage 2 map which consists of the full turbo-back exhaust. i've just got my tuner lite from turbo xs which is identical to the tuner pro, just without the knock sensor. i had some problems with it early on, come to find out we just never calibrated the TPS. now its running like a champ. hopefully this weekend my ported vf34, helix 660cc injectors, walboro 255lph fuel pump will go in
utec....hate it or love it!!
