so i'm new here and was referred here by a friend. this is my second 96 impreza (first was a 96L 4dr pizza delivery vehicle) i just wanted some ideas on what people would do to this thing because i've become so fickle on what i want to do with it. as of right now i'm just restoring the cosmetics. (previous owner was a **** that didn't know how to drive)

how do i change my user name because when i created it i wasn't thinking about the language. i use this user name for pretty much everything. (xbx,etc etc etc)

Welcome, fellow coupe guy. As far as username, just make a new one. As far as your car goes, I guess start with addressing any rust or forming rust spots. The go find the body parts you want. Then decide, on what paint you like.

How does the car run? I figure that would be a good starting point.

thanks guys where is the next meet? to be honest i never knew there were so many subaru people out there. all my friends do bikes, hondas, miatas etc etc etc. so it's a good feeling to know there are people out there.

as far as it goes. the body work is nothing i'm working out right now. me and a buddy that does body work (awesome at it i might add) are doing that. sonic blue is what i'm going with. i'm trying to find a wing but it's been hard or way over priced so i might just get a new trunk till i can find one.

the engine however, is something that i've been fighting with because like i said the previous owner is a piece of crap that doesn't appreciate the car that it is. i'm sorry if your somewhere in these forums but it's true! i want to do a swap but i don't know much about going from 4eat to 5 speed. this is what i was truly looking for help with =] =] =]

a turbo would be cool but i think i'm going to just do simple engine stuff first.

 

i've already done this many times at my secret spot in wahiawa. thats why i'm curious if anyone saw it haha. it was literally completely caked with mud. took me two days to get all that mud completely off. pressure washer FTW!
