Coolant temp overheating

Just noticed my baby's overheating, just started doing it about 20 minutes ago. Fans are running so thats a good thing. Obviously I'll start adding coolant when it's cooled down but more to follow

double check that the system is burped when you add coolant - could be air in the system.

if coolant is leaking/disappearing you'll want to know why/how/where

check hoses, clamps, visible gaskets, trails of coolant/dried coolant and of course look for air leaks/cracks on the radiator. I see you have an 08, so wear shouldn't be an issue but you never know...

good luck!

Yea I appreciate it, I added fluid and i think there was a small air pocket. I heard it hiss and then I saw bubbles. Seems to be good now

Enlighten me as to what that "Burp" kit is.

I havent seemed to need anything other than a tight fitting funnel.

Not being a dick just curious.

@Harry - I've seen the prestone 'flush' kit here and there for ~5 bucks, it's basically an inline fill nozzle to hook up a hose as well as a clip in pipe for the radiator - does the job as a flush kit and a tight fitting funnel. just my .02 for anyone looking for a flush and fill kit, it's worth the 5 bucks to reduce the mess a bit (i've been the lucky one where the funnel pops out at the wrong moment)

Na its all good, i found it on amazon after the lego guys told me about it, but its a rad cap, that has this attachment, you put it in place of your rad cap. Then their is this funnel that fits in the cap, you start your car and let it get all the bubbles out. After its done you put in this stopper and pull the funnel replace rad cap thing with your rad cap. So yea lol kinda like a funnel but not ghetto and not messy, i like it because you can add and see all the bubbles come out, but the best part hands down, is you dont have to worry about the funnel slipping out, and it has the stopper. I do alot of little jobs at my house so its already paid for itself in my books.
