Jeez I need this vacation, it's been raining 2.5 weeks straight here in S.F. and it's been averaging about 55 degrees daytime, 42ish at night. Suffice to say, I'm excited!

Welcome! I called Kalihi Super Stop & Deli this morning, they had Beef Stew today (that's what I ate for lunch today), they told me that they will also be making it on Thursday. I told them that I reccomended their stew to to you, and the owner was quite tickled, she also called out the cook to tell her. So if you can, I reccomend their stew. $5.00 for a plate of stew and rice, you will definitely run out of rice before the stew, the serving is simply massive-lots of tender meat! If you decide to go, make sure you get there before 12:30 pm or so, or call ahead to make sure you have a plate. Their number is 842-4545 and their address is 1247 North School Street, they are on the same side as Mitsuken and across Mitsuba Delicatessen. Hope I get to bump in to you during your stay...enjoy!

Dang, I really want to make it to a meet one day. I do work in town, but I have a wife and two kids in tow, and also it being a school/work night doesn't help. It's times like these that I wished that I lived in town, so I could just drop them off and come and attend the meet. I am really tempted to drive in separately that day, oh well, we'll see how it goes. Hope you're enjoying your vacation.
