Your PMs are full.

This is what I was sending:
Chris,

My project is nowhere near as ambitious as yours. I just want my car to run again. Tell Ed that I got his message a few months ago, but when I tried to call him back, I couldn't get through.

Anyhow, I just want a sound block and internals. Also, I think it's smart to upgrade the tranny and half-shafts much more than just with a Japanese STi trans.

Anyhow, I don't think I'm going to sleeve it, but I do have a significant amount of money that I'll be able to hopefully be smart with.

BTW, speaking of money. That money I'm referring to is $6k that I had put aside while I was in Afghanistan. it was that Army Savings Deposit program. You can put a buttload into it...I put aside $1k a month.

Hey, do you want me to send your wife the money I owe you?

Stay safe.

Pat

My project isn't ambitious at all. It's actually budget oriented for a poor man (me) using 'jerry rigged' stock parts, buying only proven parts while steering clear from over priced designer brand names, and also, hell if I pay any Joe Shmoe to do my installs.

If I had the extra dough, I'd also opt for a 6 speed. I'm looking for a 5spd from a 98rs or an older turbo legacy. I'll ride my stock trans until it dies.

Thank you for the savings tip and don't worry about payment. As far as I know, hand receipts for those supplies are last on the priority list. If anything, I'll be in the mainland for a little while after the deployment to piece the car together. Maybe I could take a road trip to where you are for pick up.

Thanks again my friend. I'll also relay the message to Ed.
