Catback exhausts?

debating between exhausts for my '04 sti.
just got the car and not really familiar with subies yet, but i love the car already and cant wait to mod her up!
would be great if you guys could post what exhaust you got and what car, and if u were to redo it, would you stick with the same decision.
pretty much all i read is that the blitz nur spec is hella loud over the others, but i really like the style of the HKS carb/ti. thnx!!!

word blitz will wake the dead. but i think its rad. note is so solid and apparently it shoots mean flames too. only thing i dont like about it is that the exhaust tip is too big. john has stromung and it looks stock and sounds good too if thats what ur looking for.

MY04 STI stock only way to go....Spend your money on things that the car needs like better brake pads and SS lines and steering rack and shifter bushings, subframe lock kit, and rear diff bushings.

i won't drill you on what you should buy- since the majority of us just can't seem to live without the rumble... might i suggest apex(hayabusa?) the one zfec has- very nice tone- and its light too. i have a tanabe, its pretty much quiet until i go WOT. fits nice too... and no one else has it(at least within the "circle")... which is nice.

hi pace is giving me a pretty good deal on the JIC ti(can)& stainless piping,
but i heard that JIC is the one of the worst quality japan brand(is this true?).
on the other>> FULL TiTANiUM is music to my ears! i could be interested.
it all goes down to everyones' drawback...$$$

I would not spend over 1g for a catback. I personally have a greddy evo 2. I love it it's so quiet, but the drawback for some is the big canister. I have yet to run into the fuzz even though they were right behind me*knocks on wood*.

^^ a friend of mine had a crack in his(JIC). but he had it on his car(full titanium) for about 3 years. he drives hard and his exaust has been through a WRX and an STi.
i like JIC, and its pretty much straight with a few slight bends. plus its light, and the tone is definitely aggressive- when i have the scrip$ i will definitely put this at the top of my list.

BPM mkiii twister turbo back. Not a catback because you have to buy it's downpipe to have it fit properly; unless you know a descent welder that can fab you one.

There were only three of us on the island that had the exhaust. I think they were WRX-FLIP and Etchy-lives (no longer on the island), so it's a little more exclusive.

There were issues of rusting in the early batches. I bought mine a few years back and I've had no issues and I haven't heard of any others in the mainland since the initial incident.

Mine used to sound like a Harley until I installed a Gruppe-S exhaust manifold. Then it sounded raunchier, WRC ish. Search for BPMsports and read their write-up on their design. I've had great results with a personal best of a 12.3 et and pb of a 114mph trap with the twister design and a few other power adders.

JIC Magic Semi Ti... great stuff... love the sound (silencer off) and the silencer doesn't rattle. But you should install that someplace else. They did a **** poor job on mine.

Chibby

is a freak (in a good way), as is his exhaust. Definately nothing like it. Until you've heard it you won't understand.
