Seriously, what are the tale-tell signs?

 

I'll take a shot and hopefully not offend anyone in the process.

Filipinos in general tend to be darker, with round eyes (for an Asian), and wider noses. I'm Filipino, but most people mistake me for Chinese b/c I don't have any of the above characteristics.

Chinese tend be more fair, with a hint of yellow. Many have very straight hair and eyes that look more Asian than Filipinos. They're faces tend to be round.

Koreans are also very fair, but tend to have sharper, more angular features. They're eyes are very 'Asian' looking.

Japanese share a lot of similarities with Koreans. Curly/wavy hair seems to be more prevalent in the Japanese (compared to other Asians). A tell-tale sign of a tourist is the flamboyant clothes and colors.

Of course, once they inter-marry it becomes infinitely harder to tell them apart. I'm guessing many of the people in that quiz were mix-breeds.

Have you ever heard the theory of the 'land bridge' between Russia and Alaska?

Well, the theory explains why Native Americans from Yukon down to Chile have certain traits in common with Asians. I couldn't begin to explain which traits, but that sort've thing interests me a lot.

So many are caught up on being PC that I believe that there is an area of human behavior and human traits that probably doesn't get studied much for fear of researching different human characteristics.

I'm curious whether or not I was pre-disposed to abuse alcohol since I'm Scot-Irish.

I wonder if many Asian peoples are small in stature due to diet, and if Yao Ming is (or at least taller Asians) are due to a change in diet. If so, is a change in diet enough to change a common DNA?

There's many things I wonder along this sort've line.
