So I'm finally geting a Subaru. I've known several guys here on O'ahu with 'em for years... and now I'm going to the dark side. Almost got another CRX, but decided that Honda is just... well, good cars and all, but I wanted something a little different.

I'm buying a 98 "L" Sedan. Econobox for now, but maybe it'll get a major power infusion down the road. It's red, which is a nice departure from the waves of blue and silver WRXs / STis I see out there these days.

Dammit Joey...can I have my f'in i-Club T-shirt now? Jeez.

Welcome!! I like the comraderie that comes with Subaru ownership, much more so than that of any other makes. Since you will be in the "sleeper", guess you will have to initiate the shaka, 'cuz you don't stand out like some of us with the friggin' huge hood scoops and wings.

 

Yeah... no version 4,000,000 wing that's got 70 vertical pieces and is like 30 feet taller than the car Oh, carbon fiber of course. Not my deal - but to each his own. If you want to rock the big wing, then more power to ya.

I also own a 1966 Austin Mini Cooper S. It's good to be different. And I'm huge like a gorilla...so no idea why I have such a small car. I was kinda worried about fitting in the Impreza, but a buddy has an '01 2.5RS and I've driven that...so I knew it wouldn't be too difficult.

I'm stoked to get the Impreza though. First order of business is going to be to fling the spoiler into the ocean and get 'er painted in a fresh coat of factory red. Then to talk a friend out of his coilovers and put some different wheels on it... of course rockin' the stock 2.2L for a while. Gotta save up for the crazy ideas.

Of course I'd love to take pictures (as long as I'm off and can go!)- the Suby crowd seems much cooler than some of the folks I've taken photos for recently. I'd mention names, but it wouldn't really serve any purpose. Besides, you've seen one M3 you've seen 'em... ah crap did I just give it away?

Yeah - that body style just rocks! Dave C says that I'll end up with a wing. He doesn't believe that I'll be able to resist the forces of evil for more than a few months.

 

yup just like me I just had to have that wing but for a few months I was rockin the 02 wrx wing... I was the only one with that wing to me I think it kinda match in away it was cool. I don tknow about evil side but to me when it comes to evil it would be the EVO(L) side muahahaha...
