Brand New STi crashes on Nimitz
" There was once a brand new STI with three guys in it flying west on Nimitz Highway. Witnesses say they were arguing and the driver looked back to hit/slap the rear guy. He lost control and went into a sideways skid until the tires caught traction causing it to hit the bushes in the medial and flip over on to the east bound lanes."
Got this from the SpeedHawaii forums posted this morning. Anyone know if this was recent? Or if it ws anyone you know? Hope things turned out well.

The STI I seen the guy said the customer said he went off the road the body shop wasn't to sure on the story but they have had it for a month and he said they have or are replacing both front fenders, hood, grill well whole front end even the engine they had it out when I was there they were also replacing the passenger rear door, rear quater panel, I think both wheels on passenger side the guy said there isn't much on the car they haven't or aren't going to replace he also said by the time they are done they will have re-painted the whole car due to replacing parts. Wonder if we could score the engine ....Not sure if it is the same car in the first post.

in regards to nimitz-
to those tempted to speed -
the sheriffs seem to love pulling people over in that area all the time-
i guess that is the only "beat"(airport area) that they have so i think they take it very seriously- every night @ 11 i always see them with like 3 patrol cars doing traffic stops. they even pulled over my friend who was patroling in his blue and white (DOD) car! good thing they gave him just a warning LOL!

^^ Got pics?
If that was really your STI, my advice to you would be don't be a dumbass and look behind to slap a drunk passenger. What a good sport blaming YOUR bad driving on someone else.
I doubt that was your STI though.
my advice don't let drunk people ride with you

Are you going to sell it or trade it in....I hope if you sell it you let the people know what kind of wreck it was in.. I'll buy it for $10k seeing that it has had so much damage...Are you going to be able to get the motor??

Btw, glad that everyone is alright. Consider yourselves lucky though...
