Bov Questione, amigos...
I believe that I understand what a blow-off valve does in general. As far as I know, unless you have a car that's even more powerful than a Vishnu st2 or TXS st4 (read: 400hp or more) then they are good for sound effects. I personally don't like the sound of them (unless they are 100% recirculate
).
Question is, am I mistaken? What's everyone's take on how well they maintain the spool-up? Is there any difference for turbo spool-up if you're venting it all or recirculating all?
I've just been wondering about this lately, and it struck me down at the autocross that it didn't seem like any of the turbo'd cars there had noisy BOV's.

ya kno... i'm not sure about this...
but one thing i do kno... BE VERY CAREFUL when removing the small bent hose from the nozzle tip of the bov... i accidentally pulled it too hard when removing the stock bov and Both ends came off... now the fun of re-attaching it back.. the things i do to stay in ESP class.
and i jus like my turbo xs for the noise factor.. go ricers~!

I don't think it makes much of a difference: So, don't buy one looking to improve performance..BUT don't shy away from one thinking that it will hurt your perdformance noticeably either.
I've been running my HKS for awhile now, and after swaping back to the stock valve, I didn't notice any diff either way.
