Boost Guage
Where can I go on island to get a boost guage that will match my STi's other dials? I want to get one of the deals that replaces the clock, and has 3 istraments. Please give me a link of the name of the business and what town it's in. Thanks for your help, and if there is a website you recomend that will work also.

I've seen that one before, I like it because it says STI so you know it's gonna match I guess if you are wanting one guage that one's not bad there probably are cheaper ones but unlike you want they might not match the dash of the STI....I'm not sure how that one mounts you might beable to put it in a guage houseing I think it mounts on the steering column not too sure somebody on here I am sure knows...Plus if more people see your post they will have ideas for ya..If you ask me I would get these...http://www.gruppe-s.com/Defi/defimeter.htm
And get the Link V2 package..kinda spendy

I love that STi gauge....I just can't see spending the $$$ on it. I had Farid order me a Defi Boost 52mm D-gauge (mech) should be around $130 and it should match the stock gauges.

What is all of that extra stuff that comes with the STi gauge? The guage here: http://subydude.com/parts/details.php?12 ? I have no idea what that mess of cords of the video game looking controller does. Could someone explain it to me? Thanks.

If you're looking for Defi, just let us know. We are Hawaii's distributor for the entire line of Defi products from Defi USA. Our pricing is competetive with gruppe-s. Unlike Gruppe-s tho we source our gauges direct from the US distributor, so they feature full english instructions and complete warranty coverage through Defi USA. Gauges sourced direct from Japan carry no warranty coverage through Defi USA - Defi has informed us that we cannot warranty any gauges bought from Gruppe-S. That may or may not be an issue to most ppl.
To match the stock interior, you'd prolly be most interested in the V2 Link Meters:

...they come available in black or white faced, in 52mm or 60mm sizes, and come complete with mounting cups and all necessary hardware and wire harnesses.
The Defi BF Meters:

...would be the top of the line stuff. When the car is not running, the meters are completely blacked out due to a special dark lens covering the gauge face. The gauge lights up with bright white numerics when the car is turned on.
To explain what you see here:

...this gauge, like those used in Defi's Link System, require the use of a seperate Control Unit which serves as the brain for the entire gauge system. A wire harness runs from the gauge to the control unit, and the sensor runs from the engine bay to the control unit. The Control unit itself needs to be wired up for constant power (to keep memory of your warning settings and recordings), switcheable power, illumination, and ground. The gauges themselves don't need to be wired up individually, they simply plug into the control unit and daisy-chain from one to another.
It's definitely a different setup from your typical autometer boost gauge. If you're looking for something less exotic, and more just a standalone unit, Defi does offer the D-Gauge series that Mach5WRX has ordered for his car. Instead of green, they illuminate orange like Autometer.

If you'd like more info, feel free to stop by the shop and take a look at what we have stocked and installed in our shop cars from Defi.

If you want to see the STI Genome Boost Gauge, I have it in my car. ChibbyGou, among others, helped with the install. I believe you can hook up other Defi gauges to the control unit it comes with.

That's actually the first time I've seen that -- looks pretty dope!
