Boost with AP Stage1
Just curious if there's any other I-clubbers out there running Cobb Stage 1 right now, and what type of boost readings you're getting? I have an '04 STi, and Cobb states that Target boost should be at 16.5 PSi (+/- .5PSi). The most I've been able to get has been around 15.6PSi (going off of the live boost readings on the AP). Not too sure if you need a mod list, but here ya go just in case: Cobb AP stage 1, APS 65mm CAI, HKS Carbon-Ti catback, AVO 50/50 bov, and a Blitz dual TT. Fellow stage 1 owners or I-club gurus....is there anything I should specifically look into or be concerned about?

Did you just check the boost reading after flashing?
STI uses a closed loop boost control, which means that it takes awhile for it to hit its boost target if just flashed/applied. Also, the boost control system is speed and load based, so you won't hit certain boost levels at low speeds. It should only hit the boost target above 40mph or so...
There's a low speed and high speed boost table, and the high numbers come from the high speed table.
If you do 5-6 back to back WOT runs, and you're not hitting boost target, then perhaps you have a boost leak somewhere. Otherwise, give it some time and drive around for a bit, and it should start hitting the boost target.
If not, then you may have a small boost leak.

i'm running cobb stage 1 in an 03 wrx and hitting about .7bar (10.1psi). says target boost is 14.7psi +/- 0.5psi. maybe it's cause i'm not hitting WOT.
it does say in the map notes though that you have to use the factory intake. no aftermarket intakes are compatable with the map.

The APS will affect your boost control considerably, as a new intake will change the metering system slightly, so the ECU has to relearn its boost settings based on airflow (load).
The .4 shouldn't make a large difference, at least I theorize it shouldn't.
I'm sure all will be solved, yeah, when you go Stage II.

decided to open the silver surfer up on the way home and see what peak boost was. 14.5psi with ap stage 1. target is 14.7psi +/- 0.5psi, so looks like it's pretty much right on considering how hot it is today.
can't wait for stage 2!
