Bolts
I officially suck at installs. Was trying to install the SPT Turbo Heat Shield and a bolt fell. Zomg, couldn't find it on the ground so I turned on the car and drove around. It's gotta be stuck somewhere under my engine right?
Gah, just gonna go Servco next week and hopefully they can help me find the bolt and install it for me since I suck :-(
Should I be worried? Dropped on passenger side but it should be on the ground of the car right? below the engine but above the ground, don't know what that part is called.

would it work through the plastic under piece? I was tapping it and am pretty confident i found out where it is cuz I can hear it bouncing when I knock it hard.

DAMN! where did you store the 10m wrench? how could you lose something that big? j/k
but seriously, i don't get bothered if people ask for help. i think what is bothering is that this seems like a simple fix, but i feel like you spazzed out. there are two threads about this one situation and the simple answer was given by the first three replies to your "Help!!!" thread.
as a side note, you mentioned you're intalling the SPT heat shield. i don't have one, but when i changed out my up pipe and down pipe, i had to remove the i/c to gain access to the stock heat shield. this situation leads me to believe you are trying to change the heat shield with your i/c still on. here is the link, from the website you used for the ipod connector, for the heat shield installation:
http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/down...?doc_id=219707
if you did take off your i/c and you spazzed out about not being able to find the bolt, i'm gonna laugh my *** off if you start another thread about reinstalling your i/c (Help!!! part 2).
if you learn to use the search function, you might find answers to your own questions. of course the search function on i-club might not have the link i gave you above, but you posted the link for the ipod connector. i actually found a new resource because of you.
seriously, the time it took you to post and reply on the forums could have been spent calming down and analyzing this situation. i think your other thread about driving a manual transmission gave a lot of people a bad first impression of you. sometimes i even feel bad that you're a fellow GR owner, but i'm old enough to remember that i too was a mechanical noob at one point in my life.
keep your chin up and keep on modding.

You know NASIOC is a much better search site for this kinda stuff rather then iClub, espeically in the Hawaii forum. Same to be said of scoobymods.
I really suggest you register for both of those sites as well, and learn to use the search function. It will save you a lot if headaches, believe me!

We all were once noobs at one point. Don't be afraid to work on your car though, that's the only way you'll learn the idiosyncrasies that is subaru.
And the search button will answer most all of the questions posted, i-club has been around for 7 years after all. Please do browse ALL the other suby forums, they are all truly great resources.
For what you are installing, scoobymods lists alot of DIY projects.

register for the following sites
nasioc.com
scoobymods.com
clubwrx.net
those 3 sites will help you out a lot. some guys might be dicks about it when post noob stuff but don't worry its the internet so don't let them get to u.
On nasioc alone u can learn for months without ever posting a thread. With that said there is a lot of misunderstanding and false information that is posted so always search for more sources and talk to the tuners and og's they are very helpful. You will know who they are after a you've been reading/searching/lurking for a while they will stick out like a nail.
Good luck and and keep wrenching if u find your self stuck post a thread here and someone will help I can promise u that and when u brake something don't worry everyone does even great shops its a part of the game.
