Blow Out!!

so im driving to haleiwa this morning and on the H3 my right rear inner sidewall explodes at about 70 mph i was like WTF was that........ slowed down and pulled over swapped out to my spare little donut tire and go on through my day limping along... everything is fine though cause brad HOOKED IT UP! with a killer deal on some tires a while back which ill be running on my ride tomorrow...... i gotta say though the potenzas i was running are pretty damn good tires!! even through a blowout they had enough rigidity to keep me stable barely even being able to notice i had a flat thank goodness for that!! it was just a little shame driving around back to kailua with my dinky little spare

Wow, glad to hear this (for the most part) went without much incident. That could have been bad.

Good time for everyone else to make sure your spare tire is in good working order. I checked my wife's spare tire a few weeks ago & it was running about 12 psi. That wouldn't have been too useful if she ever needed it.

Again, glad to hear you & your ride are OK.

Dang man, glad to hear youre safe.

So I'm assuming it happened just because of wear-and-tear to the tire?

I had a passengers side rear blow out going around a left curve at about 40 mph, back end threw out and I did some drift action until I brought it back around and eventually pulled over. All I have to say is thank god it wasn't my good rims/tires or I would have destroyed a lot more than some old snow tires =/
