Birdie Dookie
Yesterday, A bird took a **** on hood in the hot hawaiian sun. Later that day, I notice it and quickly wiped it off. By that time, the **** already harden like lava rock. I washed down the hood and brought it into the shade to work on removing the residue. After all my work, you can still see the outline of the bird crap from certain angles. And also, the clearcoat in that area looks "wavy". Any tips on removing this eye sore?
All I use was scratch-x (Alot of times...It helped a great deal) and afew layers of zymol wax. Do you think clay bar will help? Thanks fellas --Dave--

I don't know if I've ever had a bird doo doo on my car that wouldn't come off with a simple wash.
The bird must've eaten something with a lot of acid or something.

**Update** used clay bar last night, helped very little. I buffed it with scratch-x, a few layers of polish, and followed up with afew layers of wax to seal it. The area has never felt smoother, but the outline still remains. NOt as bad as before, but still remains. The final result, it looks 10x better than before, but the clearcoat is damage beyond the point of return
