Used to live in hilo..miss opening up my old leggy on saddle road

 

Damn... you havent been back for a while i guess.
it aint anything like it used to be, its a straight flat smooth road. not the twisty blind, rough road we all remember it to be.
still kinda fun in some parts.. you can get stupid fast now...tho popped by cops easily up there.

i feel so left out here. the only thing we have going for us is the hilo drag strip

so far i just have a magnaflow catback, cobb intake, cobb short shift, access port, rally armor, wet okole seat covers.

 

Were those pictures taken up mana road? I was thinking about taking a drive up there to get some dirt on the tires. And I personally live out in Paauilo, and am always looking to meet new subaru owners around the island since there are too few of us around.

 

I'm not living on the Big Island, but I grew up there. Honestly, I miss the hell out of it. Living on Oahu is nice and all, but it's kinda irrking at the same time. Traffic and every where you go there's people. I miss just being able to go out and take a LONG drive on the Big Island.

Yeah oahu is getting really crowded, and I can only imagine the traffic. I just wish there were more tuners and subie enthusiasts to have meets and talk to other owners about there set ups. I do love the long drives though nice to be able to drive without stop and go traffic.

And whats the frs/ brz like I heard that it was underpowered when compAred to other sports cars like the rx8 and s2000. I know that there making a sti brz now and that thing must be crazy awesom. 😧

 

Hello!!!!Just joined the site coming from the east side of the big island...driving a 2012 dgm sti..nice obp u got there...I swear I came beside u once in kona town going down palani road...very clena wrx, u probably don't remember though haha!!!!anywayz I was hoping to start some sort of group where us subies can get together since I don't see much on the island(mostly Honda groups)...I figured its time for a little change and get some subies together? What do u think....I have a friend that drives a 2011 wrb sti that would be up to doing some sort of cruise if your down??? I see a bunch of 08-12 here on the waimea and waikoloa side riding around, maybe I can try and stalk them down and talk story haha just kidding on the stalking part!! A few white hatchbacks, red hatch, blk sedans....lmk what u think????
